THIS PROGRAM IS FOR NEW FIRST TIME LIFEGUARDS AND INCLUDES A FREE SWIMMING POOL OPERATORS COURSE THAT CAN BE USED AT ANYTIME IN THE FUTURE. SEE BELOW FULL DETAILS. Our program is offered year round, so please read below more information on how you can get trained as a Lifeguard any weekend of the year. You may finish the training as soon as you want. We offer new sessions every weekend. Our training is the lowest overall cost guaranteed, and we can offer you higher paying positions with more employment offers than anyone else in the industry. STEPS TO BECOME A LIFEGUARD WITH AMERICAN LIFEGUARD? 1. Pay $295.00 by tapping on the "Continue" tab at the bottom of this page. 2. Upon registration and course payment, students will be sent a 10 digit key code to access the 43 lesson online based training modules. Students must thoroughly review all interactive training modules before moving on to the next step. 3.Go online to http://www.americanlifeguardexam.com/ and take the additional online exams. This should only be started after the full online program is completed. There are three sections of online exams, and if you do not complete the section with an 80% or greater grade the system will allow you to retake the exam until you pass. Upon successfully completing all three sections the system will allow you to print out a certification letter that you will need to take with you to your water session. 4. Email us at alalifeguard@aol.com when you want to attend your 6-hour water session. The session will be from 11am to 6 pm on Saturdays. If you need more sessions, they may be scheduled at no additional cost, but most students can complete the full program with just one session for Lfieguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid. REVIEW SESSION LOCATION: We offer both the Deep water and Shallow water Lifeguard sessions at the Jewish Community Center in Fairfax, Virginia, which is located at 8900 Little River Turnpike Fairfax VA 22031. The center is just one mile west of the 495 Beltway on the right of Little River Turnpike. INFORMATION ON OUR FREE Swimming Pool Operators course we offer to all our First Time Lifeguards: It is not necessary to obtain a Pool Operators certification to become a Lifeguard, but we highly recommend that it is taken as soon as possible, and you do not have to wait until your scheduled Lifeguard review session. It can be taken at anytime, for it will give the student an additional certificate and that is the Swimming Pool Operators. It is not necessary to obtain this to be a Lifeguard, but we highly recommend that everyone take the course. It will make them a better Lifeguard, and will help them run a safer swimming pool environment for all. Also by having this training they will have a much better opportunity of a higher paying position, and will have a much better advantage over hiring when competing with others who only have their Life guarding certifications.
