Location Specifics	The American Lifeguard Association makes it easy for Lifeguards to recert their CPR/AED for professional Rescuer certification. Our CPR/AED training is a blended internet web-based course that teaches the Professional Rescuer CPR/AED program, and then when you are ready you can come in and take your skills test any Saturday from noon to 2pm. Students will learn how to respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies, along with rescue breathing, CPR for one and two-rescuer, AED, first aid for choking, use of resuscitation mask and bag-valve mask resuscitator, disease transmission prevention and the systems of the body. Upon successful completion, you will receive a 2 years CPR/AED certification issued by the American Lifeguard Association. The American Lifeguard online part of the program is a multi-media training course, which is engaging and interactive, delivering an enjoyable learning experience. With our fully accredited courses you can review the CPR and AED training part of the program at your convenience, and then come see us on any Saturday, year round, from noon to 2pm. Our training courses incorporate text, audio, graphics, photographs, animations and videos to maximize the learning potential of all adult learners no matter what their learning style. Our programs are self-paced and interactive. Constructive feedback is provided to students throughout training and testing to improve student retention of important lifesaving skills. HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS: Once you have completed the online training part of the program and have taken the online exams you will print out a certification of completion, then you will just need to email us at alalifeguard@aol.com to set up a review session that best fits into your schedule. We offer the group review session every Saturdays at the Jewish Community Center in Fairfax from noon to 2pm. You will need to only attend one session, and there are no additional fees due except for your initial training fee. This blended training program is approved by the Health Department for Lifeguards and upon completion of the program candidates will receive an American Lifeguard Association CPR/AED certification valid for two years prior to leaving their session. To start your CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer recert program we ask that you select the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. Once you register and pay, we will send you an email with your key code so you may go directly to www.americanlifeguardtraining.com and start your training.
