THIS COURSE IS NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED

Currently this structured Pool Operator (PO) class if offered once a month during the spring and summer seasons. The dates that are open for registration are listed below. Once you have read over the information, and if you still have questions, please e-mail any questions to alalifeguard@aol.com.

Please note that this course is FREE to anyone that took his or her First Time Lifeguard with the American Lifeguard Association and has not yet enrolled to take the course. If you took your First Time Lifeguard with us, you need only to e-mail us at alalifeguard@aol.com your full name and the month/year you took your Lifeguard with us, and the PO course date you would like to attend. We will reply back confirming your space into the class, and again there will be no charge. Otherwise if you did not take your First Time Lifeguard training with the American Lifeguard Association, the pool operator's course is $225.00 per student.

In addition to our scheduled structured group classes, we offer each month in the spring and summer, we also offer a self-study course that you can take on your own and complete anytime. Our self-study PO training program is available to take anytime during the year, for it is offered year round. For further information on the self-study program we ask that you hit the back arrow on your Internet browser and select the Swimming Pool Operators CD-ROM self-study course.

DATE/TIMES: Offered once a month starting in April and running through the end of the summer. Class times are from 8am to 8pm

WHEN ARE THEY HELD? When you register, we will assume you will want the very next available class, and we will send you a confirmation email confirming the date. All open dates for registration are listed below. If you would like to attend another date, you need only to reply back to the email and let us know what date is best for you.

HOW TO REGISTER:
If you wish to register for this class we ask that you scroll to the bottom of this page and hit "Continue" option, for advance payment and registration are necessary if you did not take your First Time Lifeguard training with the American Lifeguard Association. Again, if you attended our First Time Lifeguard course and never took advantage of your free PO course offer you need only to email us at alalifeguard@aol.com your name and the date you want to attend.

SWIMMING POOL OPERATORS Cost $225.00
The course is nationally recognized and with other jurisdictions it is required to pay a permit fee to the County you plan to work in, and further information as to how to apply at the different Health Departments will be given out at class.

Effective April 1, 2010 both Fairfax County and the City of Alexandria require that all candidates wanting to obtain a Pool Operators Certificate in their jurisdictions will be required to pass the new County exam. This course is an excellent course to ready you for this exam. You may read more about the new requirements for these jurisdictions by visiting www.poolandspaassociation.org.
